My name is Carol Poortvliet. I am a freelance graphic designer by trade, but a wife and mother of two girls by God's design. In 1999, after eight years of working for various companies and institutions as a full-time designer, I started my own home-based graphic design firm. This allowed me to prepare to be a stay-at-home mom when we started a family. Now I juggle my design business and two beautiful girls, ages five and seven. God has allowed me to do what I love - provide visual representation to those who need it - while still being able to care for the daily needs of my family.
Over the past nine years as a freelance designer, I have created brochures, ads, magazines, newsletters, flyers, business cards, and a variety of printed pieces for universities, marketing firms, printing companies, and ministries. I am particularly drawn to working with ministries. I have been given the gift of communication through design, and I enjoy being able to help those who are using their God-given talents in ways that I cannot. My ministry is providing creative means of marketing at reasonable rates for those who are dedicated to furthering the kingdom of God through their own ministry.
